This is the start to a series of pictures I will be posting for the upcoming week. All images have been taken in South Western Australia. This photo shows an old run-down farm house just out of the small community of Cowramup, WA.The name is believed to be derived from the Aboriginal word "Cowara", meaning a Purple-crowned Lorikeet (Parrot). Locals from the region often refer to the town as 'Cowtown', a reference to the use of 'cow' in the towns name and its history of dairy farming. The nickname is now extensively used in advertising for tourism in the town.
